# Qaelum present at UCL symposium on X-Ray imaging

Qaelum had the honor to participate in the symposium “Imagerie RX: stratégies d’utilisation de doses RX et futures normes légales d’accréditation des services de radiologie”, organized by UCL – St. Luc in Brussels.

# **Focus on dose monitoring and accreditation**

About 300 radiology professionals from Brussels and Wallonia attended lectures of several experts from hospitals all over Belgium. They addressed various imaging-related aspects, with the focus on quality control in radiology. The attendees and speakers present at the symposium had the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues from other hospitals.

# **The need for clinical audits**

Dr. Jan Schillebeeckx, CMO at Qaelum, pitched on the need for clinical audits in radiology. He focused on a range of important aspects for radiology departments, such as the EC directive EURATOM, QUAADRIL, and clinical standards & audit templates of the European Society of Radiology. Through hands-on tips and tricks, he guided the participants in putting the theory into practice.

# **Exchanging experiences with Qaelum experts**

In the concluding networking session, the participants exchanged their experience in quality monitoring and auditing. They also had the opportunity to discuss related aspects with Qaelum experts, who were also there.
