Press Release: Prof. Dr. Rademakers and Luc Colle strengthen Qaelum's corporate structure

After its recent capital raise, Qaelum N.V. – the Belgium-based international specialist in medical quality monitoring and analysis – is strengthening its corporate structure. Qaelum’s close collaboration with the University Hospitals Leuven, from which Qaelum originates, is now reflected in the assignment of prof. dr. Frank Rademakers as a new member of the Board of Directors. He is the former head physician and current director “Medical Technology & Innovation” at the University Hospitals Leuven. In addition, Luc Colle, former VP global sales at Barco, will lead Qaelum’s new global sales team. With these key assignments, Qaelum enters a new phase in its global expansion.
Professor Rademakers enters the board of directors
To strengthen the collaboration with the University Hospitals in Leuven, prof. dr. Frank Rademakers will join the Board of Directors of Qaelum N.V., the Belgian leader in medical imaging quality management solutions. Prof. Dr. Rademakers, former head physician at the University Hospitals Leuven, combines extensive (inter)national experience in cardiac imaging with a strong focus on patient safety and quality. As director Medical Technology & Innovation at the University Hospitals, professor Rademakers prioritizes collaboration, complementarity, the integration of different diagnostic activities and technological innovation.

Bringing global sales to a higher level
As a first milestone in its global expansion, Qaelum has extended its sales team by assigning Luc Colle as VP Sales. Luc, engineer and former VP global sales at Barco, has acquired nearly 30 years of experience in sales. In recent years he also acquired sales experience in the field of healthcare. His mission encompasses raising Qaelum’s global solution sales activities to a higher level. To accomplish this, he can count on an extended international sales and marketing team. Luc Colle is looking forward to his new challenge: “After working for a sizeable multinational company for numerous years, the idea of bringing a promising young and dynamic company to the next level really appealed to me. I strongly believe that the Qaelum team is on the verge of its international growth breakthrough, which I want to help accomplish.”
A growing company with a new look….
Together with the strengthened company structure, Qaelum decided to renew its corporate identity and website, which will be online in just a few weeks. The new logo and website provide Qaelum with a crisp, open and friendly, yet recognizable and professional image. Also, all Qaelum’s solutions now come with a specific logo.
And more changes are being implemented within Qaelum. Next to prof. dr. Rademakers and Luc Colle, several new experts joined the Qaelum team over the last weeks. This expansion urges the need for a larger company facility. QAELUM’s management announces its plan to move to a new location before the end of this year.
