Ohio State University selects QAELUM’s Dose Management Software becoming a reference site for QAELUM in the USA

After several months of evaluation of DOSE, the radiation dose management software of QAELUM, Ohio State University selects QAELUM for a facility wide deployment of the software. QAELUM and Ohio State University will collaborate for having the QAELUM software continuously tailored for the functional requirements of DOSE in the USA, and QAELUM will use Ohio State University as a Reference site for its commercial development nationwide.

QAELUM, headquartered in Belgium, approached The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center end of 2017, in the context of its territorial expansion towards the USA. At the same time, QAELUM incorporated in the USA, and opened an office in New York.

Ohio State University installed and evaluated the product, finding that it met the requirements of patient radiation dose management for the hospital.

“When we installed DOSE, we found that it provided a flexible format for dose management and that QAELUM was dedicated to providing a product to meet our needs” says David Hintenlang, Chief Medical Physicist in the Radiology Department at Ohio State University. “DOSE provides the ability to quickly extract and analyze the information that allows our medical physicists and radiologists to efficiently monitor and manage patient doses and workflows” he comments.

The installation at Ohio State University was done over a limited number of modalities, and will now be deployed over the entire facility.
