Optimization studies: a shared experience

From 2023 onwards, the legal obligation to perform yearly optimization studies in radiology comes into force. Dose management systems such as DOSE can greatly help the medical physicist in accessing the data, discovering areas of improvement and tracking the effect of technical changes. These activities are the most essential parts of optimization studies. Vinçotte Controlatom and Qaelum have therefor set up a cooperation to facilitate the interaction between the medical physicist and the hospital data through the DOSE platform. This has already led to promising results, as will be demonstrated during the webinar by a short overview of a completed study performed in this way. Finally, some information will be given on how to set up the system in your hospital to allow a medical physicist to access the data from his or her own workspace.
