System and network administrator

To support our growth and strengthen our team we are currently looking for a system and network administrator.
Our wishlist
You will be responsible for providing IT support to the company. You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, and/or Network Administration, or an equivalent field that is familiar with information technology.
You will be responsible for the following aspects:
- You support your colleagues at Qaelum with the technical onboarding, installation, configuration and maintenance of endpoints, both from software and hardware point of view
- You play a key role in the selection, maintenance and inventarisation of hardware.
- You manage the servers, both on premise (physical and virtual) and on cloud (AWS)
- You provide technical support to your colleagues at Qaelum based on internal service desk queries and requests, taking into account deadlines and procedures
- You play a key role in the execution, maintenance and management of system backups
- You have experience with network management and hardening
- You play a key role in the follow-up, investigation and mitigation of IT vulnerabilities
- You handle endpoint protection and the user management
- You play a key role in our ISO27001 procedures including monitoring, controlling, and reporting of IT-related control measures
- You have experience and a high aptitude for configuring software systems and networks
- You have some experience with databases (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
- You have a keen interest in IT technology and like to keep informed and up-to-date about the ever changing IT landscape
- Having experience and knowledge on AWS services is a strong plus
- Having experience and knowledge on development workflow and system services is a strong plus
- You are a problem solver with a “can-do” attitude and strong analytical and IT skills
- Ability to work, organize and plan independently and in team
- You have an attitude to work as a team player, share knowledge and skills with the team and can consistently follow procedures
- You preferably have a first good working experience in a system-, network admin or likewise support role
You communicate fluently in English (other languages are a great asset) and love to learn and improve.You have had some professional experience in: project management, reporting, timeline and deadline management and healthcare and IT.
